Am serving in the military now, but I was a professional Firefighter – EMT in Florida over 10 years…Everything you said here is all too true. I saw more human suffering and carnage in a week in Fire Rescue than I have seen in 2+ decades of military. With a teenage daughter, I am aware as you are of the reality of what can happen.
